FINE ARTS AND MUSIC
| Cooking
through Literature: |
Gr. K-2 Ms. Remson

|
Students will get cooking ideas and
special recipes through child based cookbooks. Students
will have an opportunity to use measuring devices to
assist in their food preparations. Upper grades will
make cookbooks and lower grades will make aprons. |

| Painting
Woodworking: |

Using various materials such as wood, fabrics and
ceramics, the children will create different projects.
The children will have a chance to paint on clay, make
long-term projects such as wreaths and swags. The
children will learn how to use things and objects from
the environment in their art projects. |

The students participate in many different types of age
appropriate projects that will allow them to show their
artistic and creative side. |

Ms. Devine is requesting serious minded students who
have a love of theater and acting. This class will focus
on all aspects of filmmaking (producing, directing and
acting). This class is open to all students in grades 3
through 6 with a cap of 20 students. Those students not
picked this semester will have first choice in the song. |

This class was such a hit in the spring we are bringing
it back. This class is set up for music appreciation and
learn to play chords and songs. We have some extra
guitars for beginners and those that already play are
more than welcome to bring their own. This class is for
both beginners and experience guitar players. |

many different puzzles and games. This class will be
fun and challenging at the same time. |

Whether your child wants to try
a sport for the first time or seriously improve his
or her level of play, this class will meet their
needs. Activities offered: Jumping rope, Hockey,
Kickball, Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Football,
Obstacle Challenge Courses, Soccer, Volleyball and
much more. |

This is a returning class from
last spring. Students will have the chance to make
Lego cities with many different themes from Star
Wars, Indiana Jones, Police, Fire and Rescue cities
and much more. There is also an opportunity to
build with wood blocks and mega blocks. This year
we formed 2 classes, one for lower grades and one
for upper grades. We will also incorporate nok
hockey tournaments in this class due to popular
demand. |

Students will have the
opportunity to participate in a variety of physical
activities and sports that are taught in their
Physical Education classes. Special focus will be
paid to skill development. Each month the sport
being taught will be based on what sports are being
played on the professional level. |
