Lunchroom
-
From last month’s meeting,
concerns regarding the last lunch period (for grades 2, 3 & 4)
were brought up to Administration. Issues such as large number
of children being served during this lunch period, lack of
seating, and shortage of food.
-
Initial changes made by
Administration – rotating order of classes as to who is served
first and have been visiting and observing during the lunch
period. In progress.
6th
Grade moving to Russell Sage?
-
There was a meeting at Russell
Sage on Friday, Jan. 16th for Parents Associations from the
feeder schools.
-
Application process to start soon.
-
There will be 90 available seats
(3 classes) for the proposed incoming 6th grade. If there are
less than 90 students coming in, will proceed with how many
students volunteered. If there are more than 90, then may hold
a lottery or divide the number of students equally among the
feeder schools. Not proposing to have a “honors” 6th grade
class.
-
Will separate 6th grade from 7th
and 8th grade students. Will have different bell schedules and
different entrance for students.
-
Open House scheduled for
Wed, 1/28 6:30 – 8:30PM.
Open house was rescheduled to 2/1 due to
weather conditions.
Meeting adjourned at 7:12PM.
