·         Scheduled Meeting dates for the rest of the school year

o        Dec. 21
o        Jan. 25
o        Feb. 22
o        March 15
o        April 19
o        May 17
o        June 21

·         Last day of school is June 28, 2010

·         Committee Updates

o        Halloween – tabled until next meeting due to co-chairs absences from meeting

o        Holiday Boutique – To be held in the Library.  Set up is Dec. 7 and the sale dates are Dec. 8 & 9th.  Flyers for volunteers will go out this week or next week.

o        Pie Sale – So far the number of order forms that have come back have been low.  Half sheet reminders will be sent out this week.  Reminders have been sent through the PA email address list and the school robo-call system.

·         Maria Cognata said we need to think about new ideas for fundraising. The fundraisers we have conducted have been pulling in less money than in previous years.  The following ideas were suggested:

o        Parties – Valentine Party, Pajama Party
o        Car Wash
o        (Inside) Garage Sale
o        50/50 raffle
o        Partner with more local restaurants for proceed givebacks
o        Movie Night – ask for “suggested donations”, not entrance fee
o        Scholastic Book Sale –Previous sales were conducted in the library and the books were too heavy to bring up and down the stairs.  Mrs. Gluck-Schneider said we can conduct sale in the cafeteria.  May look into again.  There may be another “vendor” that may not sell as many “non-book” items.  If we conduct sale during the course of the week and only during lunch time, may not be deemed “in school” fundraiser.
o        International Dessert Night
o        “talent show” production to showcase our residencies
o        Art Show – have children work on an art piece and have an art exhibit to showcase the work.  Also allowing purchase of the art work.
o        American Girl Fashion Show – program sponsored by American Girl.  There are strict rules of the program that the school has to abide by.  Maria will conduct further research.

o        School supply kits – we need to decide if we are going to pursue for next year.  If we sign a contract earlier, there is a bigger discount incentive.

·         Tricia Kampton will send out fundraising  ideas to the Board for feedback and will pursue the top three.

·         Residencies Invoices – The P.A.’s portion of $30,000.00 for residencies will be gifted to the school and Administration will pay the organizations as the invoices come in.

·         Topics from agenda tabled for next month:  Differentiation and Student Government

·         Classroom Space for next year – more of a SLT issue.

·         Karinn Glover suggested having someone focus their time on researching and seeking out new and current ideas to help make our school more “fun” for the children.

·         Priority item – need to seek out someone to “shadow” Kim Ramazan in the Treasurer’s position for next year.
